Forward to Tikto

After almost?8 years at Forward Partners I moved on earlier this month to pursue my own path and have set up Tikto Capital .?

Since joining the world of Venture Capital I have had the opportunity to work alongside world class entrepreneurs and investors in both consumer and b2b markets on transactional, marketplace and service-based business models. I have also been part of the explosion of VC in Europe and it is that ecosystem’s growth that has created the space that I am moving into.?

There is a massive, and growing, opportunity in tech that traditional Venture Capital cannot address because it is a hits business chasing outcomes of ever greater scale – not a bug, but a feature of the industry’s success.?

In the hunt for that galactic scale, many businesses (in an increasing number of markets) go ignored or underfunded by tech investors. In fact, only 4.4% of startups ever receive VC . Of those 4.4% very few go on to hit the heights that the economics of VC funds demand. ?

Many strong businesses operating in (objectively) big markets, with loyal customers and established product-market-fit struggle to raise capital for growth. Yet by virtue of their tech-based business models and products, these are companies that are capable of big growth rates themselves both in terms of revenue and profitability. ?

At Tikto we invest in tech companies in “sub-VC-scale" markets. We bring the best of growth and profitability thinking and strategies through our network of PE professionals, tech entrepreneurs and operators.
