For a third consecutive year and the fourth time in six years, Horizon was awarded the No. 1 designation in the annual Best Workplaces in Biopharma rankings, compiled by Great Place to Work and presented by Fortune, which is based on surveys of tens of thousands of employees about their workplace experience. 2. First Bempikibart Dose Given as Q32 Bio, Horizon Seek Possible Treatment for Severe Alopecia Areata?
Work to develop a possible treatment for alopecia areata, an autoimmune disorder that causes non-scarring hair loss, took a step forward when Horizon announced, along with partnering company Q32 Bio, that the first patient has been enrolled in a Phase 2 clinical trial evaluating the Q32 Bio medicine bempikibart (formerly ADX-914) in adult patients with severe cases. 3. Two Winners Announced as Recipients of 2023 Horizon Prize

Out of five finalists, Horizon announced MendelScan and Vula Mobile as the recipients of the 2023 Horizon Prize. Our global innovation challenge, powered by MIT Solve, looked for solutions that will decrease the environmental impact of the rare disease health care space and alleviate burdens for rare disease families. 4. €250,000 raised for Make-A-Wish Ireland at the Horizon Irish Open?
At the 2023 Horizon Irish Open, €250,000 was raised for Make-A-Wish Ireland to grant wishes for children living with life-threatening conditions.
