A Fortuitous Summer Surprise
Friends and Family,
While expecting to be in the park with plaid picnic blankets, this 4th of July was different. To sum up - A torrential rain storm, a wet bike ride, and a fortuitous smoky barbecue on a Park Slope stoop. However we plan, it helps to be open to surprises.
Regarding the unexpected, recently on a family whale watching trip, doubting we'd see anything, we see a beautiful rubbery humpback spouting a fountain of water from its blowhole within 10 feet of our boat. While some buyers are understandably doubtful in light of low inventory, keep holding to your dreams. You may be pleasantly surprised. On the 4th of July weekend in 2016, we put an offer on our own home.
Speaking of the home front, a family friend recently took a keen interest in Halcyon's rare genetic condition. As it turns out, he is the founder of a clinical trial startup (Castor EDC) with a platform for treatments of rare diseases. His persistent curiosity is genuinely inspiring. As for Mabel, it turns out she's holding out on us. On the night of her last day of Kindergarten, she proceeds to read aloud ten books to us. Again, we are gobsmacked by the wonder of children and life's surprises.
Read on to find out where you can do yoga under the sun this summer, dig deeper on the sparse inventory we are seeing, check out some eye-catching listings, and get the latest and greatest on the Solomons in Park Slope.
As always, I do hope this is interesting and useful to you.
