Greetings

Picking up from our Nike Football Super Bowl campaign, the studio assisted in creating a branded campus event for a high school football tournament held at Nike's WHQ in Beaverton. In keeping with a Pacific Northwest theme, we designed the identity for a film production studio out of Portland brimming with brotherly love.

To bring things back down to LA, we had the opportunity to work with our long time friends and collaborators at Compound, on a vibrant new restaurant in the heart of Long Beach. Additionally, in both food and film related news, we created the identity for Superlab, a new film production agency who's focus is on creating features that promote the future of alternative foods and materials.

In some studio related news, we're proud to announce that our team has grown with a new full-time designer. And for the cherry on top, our work for Nike Football?has won the award for Typographic Excellence at the Type Directors Club's?TDC70 Competition in Communication Design — Big love and appreciation to all the incredible team members involved!?Finally, speaking of typography... don't sleep on our first studio font BPM, fully variable and available from TDF.

Films for the Outdoors

Based in Portland, Oregon,?Brother Films is a full-service production company specializing in both unscripted and commercial content. With the?studio catering to an outdoor lifestyle clientele, Forth+Back was tasked with redesigning their identity to blend this natural aesthetic with a more refined presence—allowing them to continue to participate within this market, as well as venture beyond it.

Nike Football Kickoff Classic

Showdown at Nike HQ

Alongside the campaign identity for the Nike Football 2023-24 NFL season, Forth+Back was tasked with creating the identity for Nike's Kickoff Classic —an annual high school football event hosted on the Nike campus. Using the language that was established for the overhead campaign, the studio created additional icons, patterns, and layouts to use throughout the event.

A New Space to Dine

Union, a culturally dynamic restaurant in the heart of Long Beach, offers a vibrant and evocative dining experience. Known for its eye-catching dishes and spirited beverage program, Union proudly showcases the culinary artistry of Chef Eugene Santiago, who's menu is rooted in Southeast Asian traditions with a Southern California twist.

Introducing: Erik Ruuska

Designer

Erik's been working with the studio?on and off for some time, and?we're now?super jazzed to have him?on board in a full-time capacity.?Born and raised in Ohio and living in New York, Erik's a fully remote member of our team.?

Initially?we?were blown away by his motion chops, but?he now flexes his abilities in?all areas of design with our?studio. A mellow easy guy?to work with, yet a true force of nature in the field,?we're proud to have him as?our official East Coast?ambassador.
