I presented a webinar this week hosted by Joe Colantonio , Podcast Host & Speaker at TestGuild. The title of the webinar was, "Maximizing The Value of Performance Testing Throughout The SDLC: Combining Proven Approaches With AI."

I discussed how to extract real value from your performance testing efforts, including how AI-enabled tools can optimize efforts. I covered how to use traditional and AI-based technologies to shift performance testing left and evaluate performance throughout the delivery pipeline.

As Director of Performance Engineering at Forte Group, I lead practice growth and maturity to deliver effective performance testing solutions that drive client success.

Performance testing is a complex discipline that spans multiple functions within the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Performance engineers require a set of skills that are built over many years of learning and practical experience with various techniques and tools.

You can improve the chances of performance testing success by doing the upfront work in a consistent and comprehensive manner. You don’t want to assemble a large technical team to participate in test execution only to see it fail due to poor fundamentals in the preparation process.?

You can set yourself up for success by following a documented process combined with a performance readiness checklist well before executing a test.

Spotlight On: Performance Testing Success Story

Our Life Sciences client has a wide range of applications and technology stacks for custom and packaged applications. This requires a partner that has experience performance testing across a diverse application types and technologies, and brings expertise with a variety of performance testing and application monitoring tools.

We used our Performance Testing Framework to ensure the right test is designed, developed and executed to produce meaningful and actionable results. Our expertise in a wide range of tooling allowed us to ensure we can execute successfully independent of the technology under test.

In addition, our knowledge of cloud-based load generation platforms allowed us to execute large scale load tests (e.g., 500K plus concurrent users) in a cost efficient manner.
