The frequency of #databreaches continues to grow despite security and risk management spending reaching $215 billion globally in 2024 as estimated by Gartner, a 14% increase from last year. Traditional cybersecurity approaches, which rely heavily on infrastructure and perimeter security, are failing to keep the bad actors out. So, what is going on? The shift to cloud and hybrid (on-premises and cloud) models, as well as an increased reliance on third-party SaaS applications make it so that there is no data “perimeter”.
