Designing Change: How Behavioral Principles Can Help Project Managers
The 7th?Edition of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) introduced Change Management as one of the 12 project management standards, with an extended emphasis on Stakeholder Management. Communication skills have been highlighted as a crucial element for project managers, but as Derek Sivers once said, "If more information was the answer, then we'd all be billionaires with six-pack abs." With this in mind, our presentation aims to inspire you to embrace behavioral design principles and explore innovative strategies to achieve successful stakeholder engagement, adoption, and use. Through this approach, project managers can drive meaningful change and deliver outstanding results.?

RCC Program
The FWPMI's Registered Company Coordinators (RCC) Program is a group of people who are able to be active in the chapter and represent PMI and the Fort Worth PMI chapter within their organization, while also promoting project management. Chapter members become liaisons between the chapter and their employer. Being an RCC is a unique opportunity to provide a wealth of information about PMI, the Fort Worth chapter, PMI certifications, and opportunities for project management development to people within your organization.
Some of the things that RCCs do are to attend meetings to share ideas and discuss upcoming events with other RCCs, communicate to company peers on chapter events, news, PMI certifications, etc., and promote PM best practices. Benefits of being an RCC are opportunities for networking, recognition within your organization for your involvement with the Fort Worth PMI chapter, the opportunity to earn PDUs for volunteer service hours (1 PDU equals 1 hour served).
Companies currently represented by RCCs in the Fort Worth PMI Chapter are BNSF Railway, City of Fort Worth, GM Financial, Lockheed Martin, Alcon, Sabre, and Sogeti Cappegimini. If you would like more information about becoming a Registered Company Coordinator, please email Julie Farmer at [email protected].
