Former USC QB JT Daniels Transfers to Georgia
Former USC QB JT Daniels has transferred to Georgia and makes an already strong team even stronger if he can gain a waiver from the NCAA to become immediately eligible. Daniels has 3 years of eligibility remaining. Georgia has four other quarterbacks on the roster including former Wake Forest starter Jamie Newman who is a graduate transfer and is eligible to play this season. Newman is the likely option to take over for the departed Jake Fromm and will look to keep the Bulldogs among the SEC elite. If Daniels is ruled eligible there may be a quarterback competition in training camp. It will be interesting to see what happens but either way Georgia will be extremely tough to beat in 2020 and will be a force to be reckoned with in the SEC once again. Can Head Coach Kirby Smart get the Bulldogs over the hump and carry them to their first National Championship since 1980? We will find out soon enough.
