Former Pakistan PM Imran Khan gets protective bail in a terrorism case

According to the Press Trust of India reported, Pakistan ousted prime minister Imran Khan has been charged under the Anti-Terrorism Act for intimidating police, judiciary, and another state institute at his Islamabad rally a day ago.
The government was mulling filing a case against 69-year-old Khan over his challenging speech delivered on Saturday night in the F-9 of the national capital.
His remarks came after Pakistan’s electronic media watchdog banned satellite television channels from broadcasting live speeches of Khan following his warning address on Saturday Night
The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulation Authority (PEMRA) in a communication issued on a Saturday said that TV channels despite repeated warnings have failed to implement a time delay to stop the broadcast of material against “state institute”
Shahbaz Gill was arrested by Islamabad Police
Tensions continue to rise in Pakistan after the arrest of PTI Shahbaz Gill, whom the PTI leader alleged was tortured by the Islamabad Police.
Gill who is a close aide of Imran Khan was arrested by police on 9th August after the made argument against the Pakistan army on television that was believed as “highly hateful and seditious” by the country’s media authority.
The PTI chief was quoted by Dawn Khan said that Islamabad Police were not responsible for the torture of his aide Shahbaz Gill, “They are also pointing fingers toward you. When anything wrong happens in Pakistan you’re blamed for it”.

The petition filed by Babar Awan and Faisal Chaudhry stated that Imran Khan was a “target of the ruling PDM (Pakistan Democratic Movement) for his fearless criticism and extreme blunt stance against corruption politicians”
The plea also claimed that the Shehbaz Sharif-led government had decided to “cross all limits” to arrest Imran “under false accusations” and was “hell-blunt to sort out the petitioner and his party at all costs”
