Former FTX Exec sentenced to 7.5 years of prison

US District Judge Robert Shelby ordered the SEC to pay over $1.8 million in fees due to its temporary restraining order against the crypto project Debt Box and also allowed the SEC to refile the case. Additionally, US District Judge Lewis Kaplan sentenced former FTX executive Ryan Salame to 7.5 years in prison for fraud involving illegal bank transfers and campaign contributions for Sam Bankman-Fried. Meanwhile, the New York Stock Exchange is collaborating with CoinDesk Indices to launch financial products that track the spot prices of Bitcoin.
