Formation & Inaugural Meeting of Machwa Kisan Club

On June 14, 2020, Shining Souls, under the guidance of Mr. Rahul Sinha, Chairman of Shining Souls Trust, organized a one-day Machwa Farmers Club Meeting at Village Machwa, P.O. Mahuwa, Panchayat Koisa Khurd, Block Panchdeori, P.S. Kateya, Dist- Gopalganj, Bihar. The primary objective of this event was to establish the Machwa Kisan Club, drawing the participation of 50 individuals, including progressive farmers from various blocks of the district, while strictly adhering to COVID protocols.

The gathering commenced with a prayer, and Mr Rahul Sinha, as the chairperson, delivered the welcome address, urging farmers to actively engage in the program.

The core goal behind forming the Kisan Club is to educate farmers on crop production, marketing, related agribusiness, sustainable use of natural resources, and the evolving trends in agriculture. Mr. Sinha emphasized that many government facilities exist for farmers, but they remain unaware of these resources. Shining Souls is committed to assisting Kisan Club members in embracing digital platforms, ensuring timely awareness and utilization of government provisions.

Furthermore, Mr Sinha stressed the significance of farmers understanding both the production and marketing aspects of agricultural products. Lack of awareness often leads to consumers paying higher prices for agricultural goods, while farmers receive inadequate compensation. Shining Souls aims to bridge this gap by empowering farmers with knowledge about government initiatives and facilitating their access to resources, ultimately benefiting both farmers and consumers.
