What a way, India had honored her warriors fighting against the pandemic. Absolutely amazing and truly every one of them deserve the respect and honour. Said this, there is one group who always get ignored while celebrating any success stories; the IT people.
I felt we are the ones who never gets any mentions, respect outside the world. Especially in India, people consider us to be overpaid, spoiled brats, pub goers, socializing animals. Well part of it is definitely true, we might be paid little more than our peers but the amount of work we do for the organisations to claim 25% more productivity, the sacrifices we do, work schedule we are in, can never be compensated. When TeleMedicine connect the patient and the doctor, work from home enabled for folks, when families can connect virtually, when services like banking, payment work seamlessly no one bothers what is the force behind all these.
Another group who doesn't get any mentions is the non-working spouses and parents who tirelessly feed our ever evolving cravings, help doing the house hold chores since all of us have cramped in our houses who deserves the respect and accolades.
I humbly acknowledge every one of our contributions for making this lock down seamless and let us also feel proud along with the warriors who are in the field fighting the pandemic, ignoring their health and life
