The Rainwater Harvesting Project in East Champaran district aims to address water scarcity by implementing efficient rainwater collection and groundwater recharge systems. With the region's heavy reliance on agriculture and irrigation, the project will enhance water resources, particularly during dry seasons, through the installation of 27 rainwater harvesting plants, each costing Rs. 1,53,000. By capturing rainwater from rooftops and local catchments, the initiative seeks to replenish groundwater, reduce surface runoff, and mitigate flooding. The project is expected to improve water availability, boost agricultural productivity, and foster community resilience through sustainable water management practices.
