Today we are diving into one of my all time favorite things - math, aka, NUMBERS that actually matter when it comes to expanding your business.?
Forget the vanity metrics. The likes, the comments, the open rates, the shares—and instead dial into PROFIT baby. In my world, and the world of our clients, we track revenue, expenses and celebrate shit-tons of profit.?
This part of The EXPAND? Method focuses on three key aspects, essentially, and they are all related to one another:
1 - Elimination and Delegation: While many business coaches shout these two words from the rooftops when it comes to scaling, there’s a major problem with what is being taught. Just delegate it by hiring it out. (Which may or may not be the right answer.) OR Just eliminate it - it’s not needed. Both of these pieces of advice are causing lots of harm to business owners, when decisions are not made that account for what is going on in other areas of The EXPAND? Method.?
2 - Profitability: I often say, I don’t care about your revenue. Instead, tell me about your profit. In fact we start all calls with this question when we are interviewing clients to work with us in The Joyful CEO? Program: What is your monthly revenue–and what is your monthly profit? Most can answer the first part, many struggle with the second. It’s okay - but as we like to say: It’s time for a NUMBERS makeover!?

3 - Time off: Many coaches and consultants can't seem to figure out how to actually have extended chunks of time off (like weeks off at a time), while the business grows and expands during your time away. Instead, what mostly happens is you may go away for a few weeks, and during this time, you are still checking in on things, working behind the scenes, and meeting with clients. OR if you unplug completely, your sales and marketing go downhill and you must double up with client delivery before or after your trip. This struggle is real!?
When we work with our Joyful CEO? students on NUMBERS we are specifically helping them identify their MOST PROFITABLE OFFERS and THEN deciding what to delegate, what to eliminate, and putting a plan in place for extended time away WHILE THE BUSINESS GROWS.
