Now that we know who the candidates are for the presidential race, the United States 2024 Presidential election is just 90 days away, and the significance of addressing the needs of Latino voters has never been more apparent. With Latinos comprising the largest minority group in the nation, their impact on electoral outcomes and policy directions is substantial. Data underscores the importance of engaging this diverse community to shape a future that acknowledges and includes our needs.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Latinos make up approximately 19% of the U.S. population, totaling over 62 million people. This demographic's rapid growth means that an increasing number of Latino citizens are reaching voting age. In the 2020 Presidential election, Latinos accounted for about 13.3% of eligible voters, and this number continues to rise. Our participation was pivotal in swing states such as Arizona, Florida, and Nevada, highlighting their potential to influence critical electoral outcomes.

The next president-elect of the United States will undoubtedly impact policies related to jobs, economics, inflation, and family values, all of which significantly affect the Latino population. With the 2024 Presidential election approaching, the importance of the Latino vote cannot be overstated. This demographic's influence on the election's outcome and subsequent policy directions is critical, given the Latino community's growing size and economic contributions.

Background in Economic Contributions and Policy Impact:

The economic contributions of the Latino community are significant, with Latino-owned businesses generating over $470 billion annually. Policies that support job creation, economic growth, and small business development are essential for harnessing this potential. Addressing economic disparities and providing opportunities for entrepreneurship can lead to broader economic benefits for the entire country.

Let's examine an overview of what is relevant to Latino voters:

• Jobs and Economics

The Latino population, a substantial and vital segment of the U.S. workforce, stands to be directly affected by the new administration's job policies. As the largest minority group in the U.S., Latinos have the power to sway election outcomes in numerous states.

Political candidates must recognize and address the unique needs and concerns of this diverse community. Engaging with Latino voters through targeted outreach, culturally relevant messaging, and comprehensive policy proposals is essential for any campaign aiming for success. In addition, candidates must prioritize and address the issues that matter most to this critical demographic. Numbers matter, the engagement and active participation of Latino voters will help shape a future that reflects their interests and contributes to the nation's overall progress.
