In 2020 it's forecast 80% of worldwide markets will support 3G wireless networks, 60% will support 4G --- and some will support 5G......which will be:
- 100 times faster than 4G, with reduced latency;
- A network with much more intelligence, supporting the growth of M2M and smart cars;
- Capable of handling 1,000 times the capacity of 4G networks;
- Utilizing the 3 to 300 MHz frequency range (requiring a much larger number of smaller base stations.)
Stay tuned as standards are currently being defined.

9 年" Utilizing the 3 to 300 MHz frequency range (requiring a much larger number of smaller base stations " = YUP ;-) Cool with me especially considering both 4G LTE & 5G BTS can today be run on "Commodity-Off-the-Shelf Hardware". We're doing 2G(GSM)4G(VoLTE) now which is what the rest of the world has yet to really get too. :-) I don't believe 3G will be utilized outside of "Developed Countries" as stated above, but DO believe 2G(GSM) & Wifi will be ample enough and FAR less expensive. Your going to need to run Fiber to where-ever the 4G/5G Base Stations are located and guess what? I doubt its going to happen any where NEAR as quickly as the above stated report Verizon Wireless Available Global Services and Pricing https://ss7.vzw.com/is/content/VerizonWireless/Landing%20Pages/Global%20Services/available-global-services.pdf From the above link, "Most of the World" isn't even 4GLTE/5G capable yet and primarily dominated by GSM / 3G / WiFi Networks. There is no way, from the Verizon "Available Global Services" PDF, 60% of that list of countries, within 5 years, is going to have 4G LTE deployed and MAYBE, at best, a HANDFUL of countries will support 5G. Just my opinion.
