New Hampshire hosted the 2024 NMSFA (https://www.nmsfa.org/) summer meeting in Bartlett, NH, from June 24-27 at the Grand Summit Hotel & Conference Center at Attitash Resort. This meeting is crucial for West Virginia and its flagship institution, West Virginia University, as it fosters knowledge-sharing and collaborative strategies for forestry challenges. The Northeast-Midwest State Foresters Alliance, comprising forestry agencies from 20 states and the District of Columbia, supports shared goals in forest management, conservation, and protection. In partnership with the USDA Forest Service and others, NMSFA promotes regional initiatives in forest health, invasive pests, wildland firefighting, urban forestry, and land protection near rivers and lakes.
