Foreign Relations
The whole world is talking about foreign relations. Whether it’s the U.S. and China or Russia or another country having issues with their neighbor, it seems like foreign relations are all around us and constantly in the news.
?
Good or bad
?
Is this good or bad? It depends on which side you are on and what each side is trying to accomplish. Many times, the countries are so focused on their objectives they aren’t considering what the other side really wants or needs.
?
Closer to home
?
How about if we bring this question a little closer to home. How are our relations with our prospects and customers? Many times, it feels like they are colder and more strained than dealing with a foreign nation!
?
How to Warm Things Up
?
First, what is it that you want from the relationship? Answering this honestly will help you understand your prospects and customer’s needs.
?
Next, can you provide what they:
?
·??????Want
·??????Need
·??????Desire, etc.
?
Do you have a close enough relationship to find out what is really driving them? If not, can you get there? Do you have a plan to get there?
