Is foreign Investment & Participation a protection of national interests?

When looking back in history, we the Iranians would be better off to have had the Americans and the British as partners in natural resources, and since the natural resources are located in Iran, all job and investments would have involved Iranians participation .

They would have been forced to ensure the interest of the Iranian population by providing free and fair media in this age of digitization, and informing the populations of their rights, and consequently forcing the foreign entities to provide massive investments in Iran to provide protection for their investments, and at the same time foreign-participation propaganda in the region.

Providing a lot of jobs due to geographic location of Iran, and being located at the intersection of so many nations in the region, and accessibility to so many countries either by land, sea, and air.

Moreover, calculating the amount of wealth the very same nationalistic, or so called patriotic Iranians have stolen and looted, compared with the amount the British and the Americans would benefited for their participation, versus ensuring Persian national currency value, jobs creation, and other means of investments to providing protection for their own investments, would have been negligible

Furthermore: Iranians neither have the attitude nor will render free ride to anybody without receiving the highest value possible for the services.

Conclusion: Surely The Iranians would have be in a much much better position domestically, internationally and financially than what they are now.
