Rich with gravel, loam, sand and volcanic deposits there is even some marine sediment in the AVA. Dollarhide, in contrast, is one of the most unique properties in the valley. It's 1500 acres and seven lakes give immeasurable flexibility on how they grow. Today St. Supery is owned by Chanel. Its path of making excellent estate wines has not changed, and the wine keeps getting better.
