FOR-A Unveils HVS-190 Video Switcher Ahead of NAB 2023
FOR-A will showcase its fully NDI?-compatible live video production ecosystem at NAB 2023, which includes the new HVS-190 video switcher. The one M/E switcher offers high-bandwidth NDI??and NDI?|HX input and output and is a flexible and expandable switcher that suits various applications at an unbeatable price point. The HVS-190 switchers are expandable with additional multi-view outputs and optional auxiliary and tally units.
Cameron University Refreshes TV Studio
Cameron University has recently revamped its television studio with FOR-A's latest production equipment, including a production switcher, server, and graphics system. The new system features a range of cutting-edge capabilities, such as increased production complexity, NDI? support, and a web GUI interface that allows for easier use and control. With an extensive background in broadcast engineering, including experience with leading production companies and TV stations in the region, Francis will be responsible for delivering cutting-edge systems and support during the transition to IP.
Riding to the Rescue
In a recent article published by InBroadcast Magazine, Satoshi Kanemura, President of FOR-A Americas, was asked about the challenges and trends in the live and remote/distributed production today. FOR-A believes that transitioning to an IP infrastructure for live and remote production can be cost-effective and flexible by starting with a software-defined architecture. The company's solution, SOAR-A, is a live remote production system with sub-second latency and expandability, on a secure platform.
Software Optimized Appliance Revolutionized by FOR-A
SOAR-A is a family of products from FOR-A that emphasizes the company's shift towards a software-based strategy. The SOAR-A line includes the SOAR-A EDGE IP transport appliance, the SOAR-A IPTV distribution service, SOAR-A Graphics, a CG and graphics engine, SOAR-A Switch, a software-based switcher, and SOAR-A Play, a software-based media server. All modules within the SOAR-A line are SMPTE ST 2110 capable and are ideal for broadcast, corporate, and house of worship applications.
