The other day I was chatting with some friends over breakfast; they wanted to enroll their son in our academy. So we began discussing how a football program would benefit their son in various ways. As I spoke to them, it got me thinking about how football education plays a vital role in the personality development of a child. So let me share some of the points that we discussed in this regard.

The value of sports as an educator cannot be overstated. Ever since the time of the ancient Greek Olympic games, sports have been known to teach and develop qualities of strength, willpower, and more. In modern society, the sport of football holds a lot of importance in the education of kids, both boys, and girls. I could be biased in saying so since I belong to the football industry. But think for yourself, the lessons that football teaches you, groom you into an individual who is strong and well-balanced. That’s because when you play football, you’ve got to sort yourself out physically, mentally as well as socially. Success in football comes when you’re committed to the game, you’re a team player and a match-winner. For this, you need to get along well with other players, be able to handle bullying and most of all, be able to handle success. Many times we see players become arrogant due to the success they’ve achieved. And that’s just the beginning of their downfall. You can’t let compliments or ego drive you down. The ability to maintain your focus and calm in all kinds of situations is what pulls you through. So these are all aspects that you get to discover about yourself and work on when playing football.?

Living in Dubai, we tend to become victims of our own success. My friends and I were discussing that since our children get the best of everything and have access to the best schools, malls, hotels, and other facilities, we make life too easy for them. When they get everything on a plate, they tend to take things for granted and become ‘spoilt’ for lack of a better word. So how do we ground our kids? How do we make them understand the values of worth ethic, competitiveness, focus, and commitment? All these qualities are essential to building a strong well-balanced individual.?

Sports, football, in particular, can contribute a great deal to developing these qualities. It is the old teacher that has taught generations important lessons in life and continues to do so. When you play football, you learn to strive for success while handling all that comes your way in a mature manner. Therefore,? the benefits of enrolling your kids in a football academy are multifold.?
