Food for Thought
Some books are more important than others, and then there are some that might change the world. Chris van Tulleken has written what, in my opinion, falls into the latter category. Family is the most important thing, and the future we create for the next generation is supposed to be brighter. What is uncovered in the pages of this book is enough to make you angry, sad, horrified, and irritated at the same time. Why would you want to experience all those emotions, you ask? Well, because this book will hopefully make you aware, enlightened, and most importantly, inspired to find better ways for the people you care about to think about food.
It's winter in my part of the world, so it's early nights and with a book in hand, I immerse myself in all types of literature. If you have even the slightest interest in what you put in your mouth and consider it food, then this will be a page-turner for sure. I cannot recommend it enough, and I hope you will spread the insights you learn to your community at large. We need to think more about food and what it means to us because, clearly, we seem to be a bit lost.
