Food: Friend or Foe? (Part II)

Part II presents six additional tips to eat healthy and feel better. The goal is to make food your friend and not your foe. Food should nourish you, make you feel great, fuel you up with energy, and compliment your body, mind, and spirit. If the food you eat isn't doing this, then food is acting as your foe.

7. Focus on foods that are naturally, humanely, and sustainably raised and grown. Support those people who are helping to bring forth real and wholesome food.

8. Learn more about food and its nutrient content and nutrition. Learn how to make healthy food choices, know how to read food packaging labels, and how to prepare foods in a healthy, nourishing manner. ?

9. Use your intuition or muscle testing to eat foods that are best suited for your body. Each body is different, so get to know your body's food preferences.

10. Use your awareness and intention to improve your eating habits and your food sources. Track the foods you eat (or keep a food diary) and set clear intentions for yourself around food.

11. Prepare your food and meals at home. Skip the restaurants, pre-packaged foods, and the convenience stores.

12. Bless your food before you eat it. And be appreciative of all (animals, plants, people, the Earth) who played a part in bringing that food to you.

Choose one or two of these tips that resonate with you and start to implement them. Not next week, next month, or in the new year. Now. Your power to eat healthy is in this present moment. What can you do right now to eat healthier and make more positive food choices?
