Food Entrepreneurship is Thriving

The food industry was hit hard by the lockdowns and restrictions, and many of our beloved eateries were forced to close their doors and many people shift to work from home. But amidst all the chaos and uncertainty, something amazing began to happen: small food businesses started to pop up all over the US and UK.?

I'm talking about the home cooks, the bakers, the chefs who had lost their jobs but refused to give up on their passion for food. They started to offer delivery and pickup services, selling everything from homemade bread to gourmet meals. And let me tell you, from what I saw on social media, they looked stunning.?

Running a food business is not easy. It takes a lot of skill, time, and effort to create delicious dishes and run a successful operation. But these small businesses proved that it can be done, even during a pandemic.

The pandemic presented a whole host of challenges, from sourcing ingredients to finding customers. But these small businesses adapted quickly, using social media and word of mouth to spread the word about their offerings. And it worked – people were eager to support their local food businesses and try something new. These new businesses flourished and many are now after new investments, including those after my investment on Food Stars

I'm so thrilled to see that many of these small food businesses are still going strong. They've built up loyal customer bases and proved that they have what it takes to succeed in the long run.

So, to all the small food businesses out there, I say this: keep doing what you're doing. Keep pushing yourself to create amazing dishes, keep finding new ways to reach customers, and never give up on your dreams. Because if there's one thing the pandemic has taught us, it's that anything is possible if you have a passion for food and a willingness to work hard.

I have a thing you need to investigate what the little guys are doing! My 7 year old… who is not a ‘chef’ but a ‘scientist’ uses the best ingredients ever and cooks the most amazing family meals for us.

I love most of your contributions on TV, but the way you cook with kids and especially "uncharted" is my absolute favourite. Beautiful places, cooking out of your comfort zone, just great! ????
