Cassava is a common dish in african foods like banku, gari, attieke, tapioca, placali, fufu etc... what does the term "cassava ebola" hide? Few fiction: Imagine that this food crop abruptly disappears because of a plant disease. What a disaster in Africa sub-saharan! How do we feed roughly a half billion of people in this critical area? It will be simplistic if we said that cassava is essential in the diet of populations. We are playing a bad game by inventing an ebola of cassava after this one which destroyed over five million people from LIBERIA, SIERRA LEONE, MALI, NIGERIA... After human ebola, the invention of foods ebola is seriously fatal. We have not found AIDS cure yet nor malaria solution and the planification of killing population by starvation is really dreadful. We can eat meals even being ill but if a lack of food adds to our misfortunes, how will we deal with illness and other living challenges?
Up this point, we can ask ourselves: after cassava ebola, when will come the ebola of cocoyam, yam, rice, corn, millet, groundnuts etc...? Because anyway, there will always be flies, butterflies, wasps as insects vectors of ebola transmission. Life is becoming a serious nightmare where simply live is dangerous. Threat is upon us for years ahead.
Two major challenges are facing with african people: Having pure water and secure foods. If we do not find any appropriate solutions we are sure to be exterminated within few years.
