FOOD CONTACT TESTING BY BVCPS
A range of tests to ensure that food products are not contaminated by the products they come into contact with.
What is food contact testing
Any materials that come into contact with food have the potential to contain chemicals or contaminates. This includes any kind of glassware, ceramics, cutlery, crockery and also any type of storage container or packaging.
The same also applies for items which aren't produced for food contact which have or could have contact with the mouth, ie whistles.
Each of these products are required to be tested to ensure they are safe for food contact and have no risks to the end consumer when the product is used around food or placed in the mouth.
Our testing ensures that any transfer of chemicals or contaminates are below the acceptable quantities.
