FONTIJNE HOLLAND BV acquires IP from ESAM S.R.L Italy

In June 2022, Fontijne Holland BV and Esam S.R.L. signed an agreement that all Intellectual Properties (the IP) for the equipment for the wheel industry from Esam, will be transferred to Fontijne Holland B.V.

Since 1999, Esam is manufacturing equipment for the Steel Wheel industry and was in particular successful in manufacturing equipment for the Truck and Agricultural industry.

In 2020 the owners of Esam decided to cease its business activities, manufacturing equipment for the Steel Wheel Industry, in all those years Esam have served many companies in various continents with their equipment.

Mr. Matteo Ceresa, former commercial director of Esam. Stated that Esam found in Fontijne Holland a reliable company to continue their activities and to be able to provide services to all Esam’s customers.

Fontijne Holland B.V. is for decades the market leader in the design and manufacturing of equipment for the steel wheel industry, in particular for passenger cars and commercial vehicles.

Fontijne Holland is the official spin-off, off the company Fontijne Grotnes BV, active in the steel wheel industry since 1963 and have built hundreds of lines worldwide, to all mayor players in this market.

Most of the employees of Fontijne Holland are Fontijne Grotnes BV employees, guaranteeing the know-how and quality.

Mr. Kees Scholtes, managing director of Fontijne Holland, stated, “We are very pleased with this agreement, where we are able to serve the customers of Esam.

We will add Esam’s equipment for the agricultural industry to our portfolio, which was not a core market for Fontijne Holland, with this agreement we make a big step forward.

Esam proven designs, combined with our capabilities and know how, here in Vlaardingen (The Netherlands), will lead to a successful combination.

The Agricultural market is also demanding, higher quality, minimizing change over times and more automation.”
