Follow Your Own Goal

In the Gita, Krishna shares something very powerful.

He shares, how you should focus on your own goal - and not try to follow someone else's goal.

Even if you don't achieve your goal at first, change your strategy and plan.

This is so relevant to most of you.

Let us say you are doing something right now which you truly love and believe it what you are meant to do.

But suddenly you see someone else, doing something that is bringing them more money or fame or power.

And you decide to do that, just because you think you want what they have.

And in the process stop following what you are meant to.

This will create lots of problems for you, because you don't truly love what you are doing.

You are doing it only for the external rewards. Your actions are linked only so that you can get external gratification.

So deep down you are miserable, because the process takes time.

There are so many people who live their life this way. They do things not because they want to, but because they want to copy what others around them are doing.

They go and get an MBA, only because their friends have one. Deep down they don't want to go into business, they want to pursue something else. If you want to do an MBA, go and do it, but do it only if you want to.

This creates lots of imbalances in them. Inside them they have desires to do something, but on the outside they are repressing them.

If you want to be a dancer or musician or artist or engineer or doctor, go out and do everything you can to be the best at it.

Yes, it might be challenging, yes you might fall, yes you might fail.

But at least you are focusing on your own goal.

You are following your own dharma.

Ask yourself right now, are you living your own life? Are you being fully true to your own inner goals?
