3 Steps to help you get leads and follow up effectively...
1. Create a list of 100 to 200 people to contact for the next three months.
Where do I get people to build my list?
- family and friends.
-neighbors, hairdressers, petrol stations, cashiers at your favorite shop or take away.
-connections on your social media platforms.
- old colleagues.
-old customers.
-current customers.
2. Stay top of mind:
I made the mistake of assuming that the people on my list will automatically always tell their connections about me and my business.
This is not the case I have to always remind them that I am still active in business and to think of me when they hear of someone in need of service that I can render.
Give them a referral commission to say thank you if they do give you a quality lead this way they will always promote you.
3. Stay in contact:
Communicate with contacts on your list once a week via voice or text.
Just call in to say hi.
Remind them after every call to think of you in the event they meet someone who needs your service or product.
Do not give up!
