FOLLOW UP TO HURRICANE RELIEF
I I hope this finds the LinkedIn friends that I haven't spoken to yet safe and on the way to recovery from the storm. I wanted to pass along the following information to help with the hearing impaired who have lost their Hearing Aids during Hurricane Irma. I work with a fabulous organization called the Starkey Hearing Foundation that has a plan to replace hearing aids that were lost in the storm completely free of charge! I'm trying to get this word out to everyone and I have included the flyer I sent to our Patient base about this and other things we're trying to do on our end to help people in the community in the storm's aftermath. I would appreciate if you would consider sharing it with your network so that more people are aware of this resource. Southwest Florida We Are Here to HELP!
We hope everyone is safe after this horrific storm! We know that there are a lot of you who have sustained significant damage in the storm, and we want to offer our HELP to those in need! Our offices are now open at all three locations, and our staff has all survived with minimal damage to personal property and no serious injuries. We feel very blessed that this episode wasn't much worse, but we know a lot our dear Patients, as well as your friends and families have been negatively influenced by the storm! We are here to offer assistance in the following ways:
HELP for those who lost their hearing aids in the storm!
If you know of someone who lost their hearing aids during the storm, please get in touch with us immediately! Our favorite manufacturer Starkey Hearing Technologies has a plan to provide replacement hearing aids for all of those in need. Contact us by phone (239) 494-8651 or send an email to [email protected] with your name and contact information of the person who lost their devices. I want to stress this is not only for our Patient base, but anyone who has been impacted by Hurricane Irma. If they live in another part of the state, we will attempt to find someone who will help them as well!
HELP for those who need service or repair on their devices!
Please schedule an appointment to have your hearing instrument serviced as quickly as possible. Heat, humidity and lack of power can take their toll on electronic devices such as hearing aids! Many people wear the popular "receiver-in-canal" models of devices that sit behind the ears and are, therefore, subject to a lot of sweat from the hairline. We have dehumidifying chambers at each location that will extract all excess moisture from every nook and cranny of your devices. We will also give them a thorough cleaning and 10-point Maintenance Check. Again, this is not limited to people who purchased their devices from us, so tell any friends you have whose primary provider is out of the area or temporarily closed, that we will help them out during the aftermath of the storm! We will do an updated hearing test at NO CHARGE for anyone who is new to our Practice and give a dated copy for personal medical records! All we ask in return is if you have a favorable experience with our clinicians that you tell your friends about our Practice

HELP if your ears need cleaning!
We will clean your ears for you! Personal hygiene is always harder when people have no power or running water. If you feel that due to the heat, sweat, and humidity you may need your ears cleaned, please come to our facility. We will check your ears with a fiber-optic camera that displays an image on a big flat screen TV for you to be sure you are OK! Most wax can be cleaned in our office at NO CHARGE, but we are also reducing the cost of our ear wash kits by 50% until October 31s
HELP with your Tinnitus!
If you suffer with Tinnitus ("Ringing Ears") and the condition seems much worse since the hurricane hit, you are not alone! FREE MEALS for those in need! We have a strong partnership with Perkins Restaurants where we hold our popular "Lunch and Learn" seminars. We have pledged that the next 50 people who are tested in any of our Southwest Florida locations will receive a gift certificate for a FREE meal at Perkins. HELP with Batteries!
Rechargeable hearing aids sound like a wonderful idea until there is a loss of power. Please bring your devices and your charger to our office if you are still without electricity, and we will charge them up for you. We will also do a thorough cleaning and maintenance inspection as well. ALL BATTERIES are reduced to ONE DOLLAR per package through October 15th!!
