Every year, the?Rainforest Alliance?dedicates a week to highlight products that proudly carry their green frog seal. It is an effective way to show people the impact and hard work that goes into being an environmentally and socially responsible company. It also reminds people of the power they have when they buy products, and how small choices can have a big impact. Last year the campaign reached 16.1 million people globally! It is a great way to foster a much needed engagement about the challenges all industries face, ensuring we are all pushing for improvements that contribute to a better future for people and nature.

This year’s campaign runs from September 26 to October 2, and is a special edition as it also celebrates?35 years?of the Rainforest Alliance working to make sustainability the new normal in business. The Rainforest Alliance Certified farms

The Rainforest Alliance is an international non-profit organization that works on protecting forests, improving the livelihoods of farmers and communities, promote human rights, and help mitigate and adapt to the climate crisis. Its certification program is based on criteria developed by the?Sustainable Agriculture Network, which in turn works with a global network of members to understand the challenges faced on the ground. When you follow the frog, you know the products come from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms.

Rainforest Alliance Certified farms are better and safer places to work on. They ensure good working conditions, addressing human rights abuses like child and forced labor, promoting gender equality and non-discrimination and working on improving low wages for farmers and workers.

Rainforest Alliance Certified farms are also better for the planet and more sustainable. Certified farms protect natural resources and the environment. As such, land, water, and energy are used more carefully. Fertilizers and pesticides are also regulated and waste is managed diligently. Forests, biodiversity and natural resources are protected through sustainable agriculture. Likewise, agricultural practices that mitigate and adapt to climate changes are being developed and revised at all times.

Rosaprima is proud to be a Rainforest Alliance Certified farm since 2013. We are continuously finding ways to improve our work in all areas. This naturally includes sustainability.
