?

INSTAGRAM: I find it so satisfying to go back into a post and use the Adjust Preview feature.

?

INSTAGRAM: I was really looking forward to this app launching very soon. Looks like we’ll have to wait two more weeks, or more.

?

INSTAGRAM: This news is causing a big stir in the social media world. I’m not hyping it up as much as I see other people doing because there’s no official word, it’s reportedly a leak, I don’t see this happening anytime soon, and even if it does, there’s no change or action to take right now.

?

INSTAGRAM: February’s highlights.

?

LINKEDIN: Only you can see your impressions number.

?

LINKEDIN: Some key insights here including keep a minimum of 12 hours between posts.

?

LINKEDIN: It makes sense. LinkedIn is the only social media site where users go with money, business, and transactions top-of-mind. It’s the money platform.

?

META: Meta issued an apology.

?

META: “This report is for Q4 2024, and does not include any data related to policy or enforcement changes made in January 2025. However, we have been monitoring those changes and so far we have not seen any meaningful impact on prevalence of violating content despite no longer proactively removing certain content. In addition, we have seen enforcement mistakes have measurably decreased with this new approach.” What an interesting paragraph in their fourth quarter reports.

?

SOCIAL MEDIA: Have you found a third place? My theory is that we’re all looking for one. An online community can be that, it just has to have trust and meaning. It’s massively important that we find community, especially now, so I’d encourage you to keep looking. I’ve found some great online groups that help me be a better me and I’m also looking to build a community for those wanting to make a change in the world through their personal brand. Join me here.

?

SOCIAL MEDIA: Read the “Where Companies are Posting” section. “94% of those surveyed use LinkedIn for external communications, followed by Instagram (47%), X (36%) and Facebook (24%).”

?

SOCIAL MEDIA: 3 reasons to invest in video.

?

SOCIAL MEDIA: A great article on the tension between or alignment of a personal brand and the brand-individual relationship.

?

TIKTOK: Several updates to desktop.

?

TIKTOK: So much going on for a platform still in limbo.

?

YOUTUBE: “YouTube is now the most frequently used service for listening to podcasts in the U.S.”

?

BUSINESS BONUS

?

COMMUNICATION: “The research team analyzed 348 allyship statements from Fortune 500 companies issued after George Floyd’s murder in 2020.”
