Fold and Stack 50% more than before - the ZBOX

NAVLANDIS has developed a solution for foldable containers based on the Zbox folding mechanism. The robust container comes with a limited number of moving parts that, thanks to its Z movement, requires less human effort and furthermore saves on space and time, the two crucial resources within the industry. These are now the lightest foldable containers in the market.

A Zbox helps squeeze 5 containers into the volume of a traditional container, leading to a reduction of 50% of operating costs and almost 80% land for storage. Calculations showcase a 20% CO2 emission cut. (*multiple sources).

ZBOX directly tackles three issues that are prominent in the supply chain industry and are the main reasons for driving up costs.?

  1. Containers, though standard in size, are mostly shipped back empty to the owners or source destination almost 80% of the time. Thus resulting in a higher carbon footprint, losses across multiple industries in terms of money and time. One method of solving this issue is the adoption of IoT and blockchain that can create de-centralised and proper tracking of cargo from source to door and ensure containers are not sent back empty.
  2. These containers, if then, need to be sent to the source destination, can be stacked more efficiently than the current standard folding flat racks. Thereby eliminating the need to fill up spots for 4 other containers that shipping, rail or air can utilise to bring in more cargo within 1 trip/run/voyage.
  3. Since ZBOXs are the lightest intermodal foldable containers, the cost of shipping the flat racks reduces in comparison.

Innovations like the ZBOX can help reduce costs and impact on the environment which leads to savings. The supply chain industry is in need of innovation, and efficiency as the pandemic proved how fragile the system in place is.?

Join us for the next 8 weeks as we explore the areas impacting cold chain and supply chain and how pain points can be identified and fixed to bring about efficiency with a sustainable impact.?
