Focusing on Quality Over Quantity: A Wake-Up Call for Society

Focusing on Quality Over Quantity: A Wake-Up Call for Society

In our everyday conversations, we often hear complaints like "That person isn't doing their job right," or "That department isn't functioning well." Whether it's about children not receiving a proper education or hospitals failing to provide adequate treatment, the underlying issue seems to be a recurring theme: a lack of focus on quality.

Admission and Facilities Over Education Quality

When it comes to school and college admissions, parents often prioritize the facilities provided over the quality of teaching. Instead of asking questions like, "How experienced are the teachers?" or "What is the teaching methodology?" the focus shifts to what facilities the child will receive. It's as if the quality of education has taken a backseat to the infrastructure and amenities available.

Healthcare: More About the Name Than the Treatment

Similarly, in healthcare, people often judge a hospital by its name and the facilities it offers rather than the quality of treatment and the doctors' expertise. The emphasis is more on the brand and less on whether the patient receives the best possible care. This trend not only undermines the quality of healthcare but also creates an environment where true skill and dedication are often overlooked.

Recruitment: Talent Takes a Backseat

In both public and private sectors, the recruitment process often overlooks a candidate's capability to take responsibility and their true potential. Instead of assessing whether a candidate has the guts and ability to handle responsibilities, factors like reservation, bribes, and personal connections play a bigger role. This leads to hiring people not based on merit but on other less relevant factors, which ultimately affects the quality of work and service delivery.

The Real Problem: Focus on Quantity Over Quality

In all these scenarios, the root problem is that we are more focused on quantity and facilities than on quality. Even with the advancement and abundance of resources today, people's issues aren't being resolved effectively, nor are they receiving the justice they deserve. The problem is not the lack of resources but the lack of honesty and a sense of responsibility in doing one's job. It's not just the fault of one individual; we all play a part in this.

A Call for Quality and Responsibility

If everyone starts working in the right direction, nothing is impossible. Providing quality education means our children can grow up to be entrepreneurs with full confidence rather than just job seekers. Quality healthcare ensures that people receive proper treatment without unnecessary financial burden. If government systems, which are run on taxpayers' money, work with honesty and responsibility, the complaint boxes will remain empty, and people's work will be completed on time.

Conclusion: Quality is the True Wealth

To make this change, we all need to shift our focus from quantity and facilities to quality. Facilities and quantity are like an unending greed that can never be satisfied. However, if we focus on quality, we can create a society where everyone is less frustrated, and the overall quality of life improves. Only then can we think about the development of ourselves and our country as a whole. Quality isn't just a choice; it's a necessity for true progress.
