FOCUSED Ministries weekly prayer
1 This letter is from Paul and Timothy, slaves of Christ Jesus. I am writing to all of God’s holy people in Philippi who belong to Christ Jesus, including the church leaders and deacons. 2 May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.
Paul’s Thanksgiving and Prayer
3 Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God.? 4 Whenever I pray, I make my requests for all of you with joy,?5 for you have been my partners in spreading the Good News about Christ from the time you first heard it until now.?6 And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. 7 So it is right that I should feel as I do about all of you, for you have a special place in my heart. You share with me the special favor of God, both in my imprisonment and in defending and confirming the truth of the Good News.?8 God knows how much I love you and long for you with the tender compassion of Christ Jesus. 9 I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding.?10 For I want you to understand what really matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives until the day of Christ’s return.?11 May you always be filled with the fruit of your salvation—the righteous character produced in your life by Jesus Christ—for this will bring much glory and praise to God (Phil 1:3-11 NLT).
Father, it is my honor to have this opportunity to pray. First, thank You for this day. This is the day that You have made and I rejoice and am glad in it. My soul boasts in You, Lord, for You are great and mighty and full of mercy and grace. Let those who read this prayer experience Your presence today and feel Your love and care for them, in Jesus’s name, amen.

As Paul wrote to and prayed for the Philippian church, I, too, pray for these Your people. I thank You for every remembrance of them. Those who have partnered with us in prayer. Those who have partnered with us by giving generously and consistently. Those who have received the blessing of the fruit of giving, I thank You for each of them.?
Those who have supported the ministry, I passionately hold in my heart for their generosity and kindness. Those who have received, thank You for the opportunity to give back. Father, You know how much I love them. You know how much my?heart longs for each and everyone who reads these prayers to have an encounter with You so that they, too, can experience You in all of Your glory. I pray that their love would grow - grow in You, grow for their families and friends, and even grow for their enemies so that they would live pure and blameless until You call them home. I pray that their knowledge and understanding of who You are will grow. It is my prayer that they experience the fruit of salvation through the work of the cross wrought through Jesus Christ. Father, You started a good work in them so I pray You bring the work to fruition, in Jesus’s name. Let their life bring glory to Your name for we were created for Your glory. I thank You in advance, Lord, for answering my prayer, in Jesus’s name, amen.
