Lord God of our salvation through the sacrifice of our savior, Jesus Christ, I pray in the Name of Jesus, in the power and authority of His name. I join in spirit with other believers all over the world on behalf of needs everywhere. I thank You. I praise You. I worship You. You are full of compassion and grace. Your mercy and truth endure forever (Psalm 100:5). This promise comforts me when I am tempted to be despondent because of our seeming indifference to You and Your will. I believe that You have given me a burden for those who don't know You as Savior and those confessing You but seemingly not following You. I pray for those who are overly concerned about the cares of this world at the expense of seeking You and Your way. I pray for those deceived by promised satisfaction of money and materialism. Lord, please deliver them from the sway of this world's system, from satan and his lies.
Forgive us, Lord, for failing to be better examples for our young people. Forgive us for not making their salvation more of a priority during their upbringing. Help us, Lord, to redeem the time that You yet give us. Thank You for allowing us to call on You, cry out to You. You promised to hear and heal (I Chronicles 7:14). I pray You enable us to remember, as believers, that You called us not to change society but to allow You to change individual hearts and lives through Your word as we witness to and promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I pray that You help us fully understand that You have created us to glorify You and not to be poster ads for material prosperity and success as measured by secular standards. In our pride, we have forgotten Your purposes for Your creation. I pray, Lord, that we who are carrying Your name resist the pressures to conform to this world’s views but rather be transformed by our minds being renewed to the likeness of Your mind by Your Spirit (Romans 12:2-3). I pray that the body of believers come into unity, loving one another, and forgiving one another. I pray we realize that You have no special loyalty to any one group, race, or gender but that Your loyalty is to "those who love You" as evidenced by faith and obedience to You. I pray that You continue to send workers to lost souls that they may be delivered from the power of darkness, and be placed into Your kingdom of spiritual light and truth. Help us, Lord, to avoid speech and behavior that contributes to strife, conflict, and division. I pray that Your love and peace dominate our relationships. Let the words of our mouths and the meditations of our hearts be acceptable to you (Psalm 19:14).
I thank You, Lord, that You call and empower us to live lives of holiness because You are holy. I pray for secular, religious, church, and spiritual leaders that You direct their hearts and minds to wisdom and compassion in their decision-making. I pray that You continue to lead, strengthen, and provide for the FOCUSED Ministries leadership team and members.
And this is the confidence we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us, and if we know that he hears us, we know that we have the petition that we desired of him (1 Jn. 5:14,15). For our good and for Your glory Lord, AMEN.
