Focus on your vision

Focus on your vision

You should focus on your vision, not only but also in 2025.

I hear you: “What is your vision and how is it different from mine?”

Well, a vision could be anybody’s. But your vision is guaranteed personal. You can explain it to others, but nobody else can envision your vision for you.

What is a vision?

If you must know, and you do, a vision is not only your most ambitious dream, it is your most important and ambitious dream taken seriously.

Ask yourself: “What dream have I been avoiding?”

If the dream you’ve been avoiding is your biggest and most ambitious, that’s the one you want to turn into your vision.

Your biggest most ambitious dream is necessarily in writing for your vision will be as important to you as a compass is to a map or a GPS to a car.

Without your vision you will be lost to the end of your journey from where you are to where you will be.

You won’t be able to steer your ship or harness the wind to get somewhere on purpose.

Forget the dreams not in writing for they’ll never grow larger than the brain cells in charge of your dreaming.

Anything worth having is worth doing what it takes

Embarking on your vision is a long game journey. Anything worth having takes years, sometimes even a decade.

“Caterpillar sheds its skin to find a butterfly within.” – Donovan Leitch

Avoid the trap of expecting quick results.

Don’t think, feel.

Don’t think, feel it instead

Don’t think your vision.

Feel it!

Feeling is experiencing and the only way to acquire knowledge is by experience.

No one else and no other word can feel your vision for you.

Your vision doesn’t tell you whether you will make it or not, it only tells you where you’re going.

Don’t begin with your best vision or you risk not beginning at all. Begin with the first draft then keep honing and refining as you’re on the way to getting it done.

Benefits of vision

  • Vision separates the many from the few.
  • Vision has you doing the right things before doing things right.
  • Your vision has you arrive to the end of your journey knowing you made a difference.
  • Your vision has you wake up excited in the morning

Word-users with a vision age slower, enjoy every step they take, run faster, jump higher, eat healthier, are as happy with friends as they are alone, climb more trees, skip when they could walk, kiss when they could talk, experience faster manifestations, and are popular with animals.

Without a vision

An airplane in flight is on course only a small percentage of the time. The rest of the time it follows orders from the air traffic control, adjusts to other planes, weather systems, or changing winds, to name a few. If each time the airplane gets off course, it simply changes its port of destination, it would land not like a plane but like a rolling stone with no direction home. That, my friend, is the description of an airplane not only without a vision but soon without fuel, too.

Lack of vision, not lack of time, is your worst enemy.

Takeaway

Begin without further ado. What’s missing you’ll discover along the way.

“As you start to walk on the way, the way appears.” – Rumi

Don’t think it.

Feel it!

My vision

In case you wonder, my vision to see the story of words told at school is strong and I don’t give up, knowing I have work to do before it is achieved, knowing I may no longer be around when it comes true.
