Some who aren’t aware of things they doesn’t want to do, they can start with making a list of those things and start selecting as per their significance. Now, you know the exact stairs to work on which will take you to your dreams. Exact things you need to focus on. Without thinking twice, start focusing on them. There will be doubts such as what if I am wrong or this is not right? But you will never know if you won’t try. Whatever you have chosen for yourself, focus on it and lets see where it takes you. Nothing bad comes out of hard work and dedication.
‘Things to do’ and ‘things not to do’ are two sides of the same coin. ‘How well’ you focus is more important than what things you focus on. While it may seem quite obvious that one should focus on what to do, focusing on what not to do is also equally significant and effective. One of the major issues that mankind around the world is currently facing is ‘unsolicited and forced intrusion of attention, time, and privacy’. We are constantly getting bombarded with various kinds of messages, notifications, ads, and other diversionary tactics from social media sites and marketing departments. These are a huge strain on our time and on our ability to focus. They end up confusing us on our priorities in life.
It is no more about just doing the right things. It is also about avoiding the wrong things. Any person with a sound mind is well aware of what he needs to do. It is just that a lot of people fail to do so as they get pulled in multiple directions and end up doing unnecessary things. The kind of time that is lost doing such unnecessary things is atrocious. Taking an unconventional approach of focusing on what to avoid could also be quite effective in this scenario. It boils down to how well you can focus. There are two ways to reach a destination. One is to stick to the correct route and the other is to not take the wrong route. Both the ways are equally effective, and are fundamentally the same.
If you would go ahead and start counting the things which are not meant to be done, trust me, the list is endless. Rather than focusing on what is not meant to be done, why not focus on things which can be done? If I would be in your position, I would focus on things which are doable and which have to be focused on. This will not only help me achieve what I want but will also help me in focusing on things which are meant to be focused. And if you are not interested in doing something, you shouldn’t do it.

It doesn’t make sense doing it forcefully. But if you still want to get that done and focus on that” particular” thing, just think Why you should do it? Why did you start it? And also find some reasons for why you are not interested in doing it so? Over come all your fears. There must be some strong reason why it is important to you. Right? Think about that one reason. You will eventually land up being interested and can pay your focus on it. If that “thing” is not that important then leave it. Everything will fall into place someday!?
If you want something by heart then you will put your sweat, tears and blood and sweat to achieve it. Now the question comes whether I’m saying about achieving something in your career or something else. Basically it depends on you what do you want, there can be possibility that you want focus on your academics or on your passion, it can be anything starting from your first stroke at your guitar string (struggling) to becoming CEO of a Company. Give your best shot, put your all efforts then you’ll see this question will never come in your mind and you will be a step ahead in achieving your goal or success. Cheers!
