Focus on today, keep learning skills

Dear Son,

Last week, I stumbled upon an inspiring note penned by a remarkable young woman named Sneha Biswas. She embodies brilliance, hailing from a humble town yet carving her name in the annals of history with her exceptional academic brilliance and achievements. Her younger sister, equally extraordinary, graced the Forbes 30 under 30 list. And to top it off, Sneha stood at the podium of Harvard Business School 2 weeks back, addressing the India Conference with eloquence and grace.

Sneha's roots lie in Jamshedpur, just a stone's throw away from where I spent my formative years. Sneha’s story proves a point to all of us that dreams have no boundaries, goes on to prove again that with focus, anyone can achieve greatness. I admire Sneha for her unwavering determination, and I hope her story inspires you to chase your dreams fearlessly.. Her words on LinkedIn struck a chord within me,?

Let me share what she mentioned in her note in Linkedin "Growing up my parents played in the dark, not pinning their ambitions to what my children will or should do at 30, rather building our skills such that no matter how the world shapes or where we land - doctor, engineer, homemaker, business or literature, we shall - Not just survive, but succeed."

Today, as we were walking down the lanes for your karate class, I felt like sharing what was in my mind as you are 5 years old now. I told you that the purpose of attending karate class is to immerse yourself in the discipline, to master its techniques and nuances and strive to become the best in your craft.

Neither of us can foresee what your path will look like in 20, 30, or even 40 years from now. But worry not, my dear son. My role as your father is to instill within you values and equip you with the skills and knowledge to not just survive, but to thrive.

Surround yourself with the finest mentors, delve into the richest literature, and embrace the company of those who uplift and inspire you. Remember, learning is a lifelong pursuit. Do not dwell on the uncertainties of the future; rest assured, it will unfold beautifully. Instead, focus on honing your skills and striving for excellence in all that you do.

As you grow older and revisit these words, I urge you to draw inspiration from Sneha's remarkable journey. Embrace the challenges, chase your dreams relentlessly, and always believe in yourself.

Focus son, focus.?

With all my love,

Papa

What a beautiful note for your child ?? Hope your child excels in not just Karate or an individual activity, but actually excels in the act of working hard, the act of learning, and the act of pursuing excellence - in anything and everything! ??
