Focus

Focus

With the winter Olympics coming soon, I was reminded of Antoine Dénériaz, who won the downhill in 2006. When asked at the finish line what the key to his success was, he replied, “When I ski, I think about skiing, not about medals.”

During competition, sport psychologists advise athletes to focus on the process of performance, not the goal.

On a sales call, focus on your process and not the outcome.

Since we are so goal-oriented in sales, this is paradoxical. We need goals. However, while performing, our focus must be 100% in the present.

I can always count on you for great sales advice. Thanks Steve Kraner!
