Focus on the Present

We are all guilty of either dwelling too much on the past or becoming consumed with the future.? While the past does shape who one becomes, we are best served to focus on implementing the lessons learned rather than the events that led to those lessons.? We all want to know the future will turn out well and that our needs, as well as the needs of our loved ones will be met.? What gets lost is our ability to be present in the current moment.? A parallel consequence is we tend to sacrifice our health and valuable time with our loved ones all in pursuit of titles and money. ?They say money can buy happiness, but it can it really?? Money can acquire material things that bring someone happiness, but it cannot buy back lost time or missed opportunities.? One of the greatest gifts we can give to ourselves and our family is to be present.?
