Success is built out of two important words - Focus and Persistence. We are born with the feeling of fear. It confronts us at every step in our life’s journey, making us question our own actions, making us worry about what the society thinks of us, even going to an extent of making us question our very survival. This fear, if given unnecessary relevance, can take us away from our primary goals, causing us to go out of focus.
Life is all about uncertainty, and success is all about taking the risks. If you want to taste success, you can’t walk the safely calculated path. To achieve something great, you need to believe in yourself and your decisions.
When you look back at the History of all the successful people, you will find that no successful man has taken the conventional path. They saw the unseen and worked towards making it a success.
I have had come across lots of incidents where my well-wishers questioned my sanity due to the decisions I have made on the path of my vision. I am not upset with them. But, in spite of their goodwill towards me, the concern comes with their way of thinking. There have been moments when it was all too much for me and I was on verge of screaming out, “Yes I am insane, and there is no medicine to it”, but rather I chose to keep my calm and continued on with my efforts.
I once read this line, that stayed ingrained in me, “The ups and downs of life are a very essential part of life - they keep us going on. Because even in an ECG scan, a straight line means death, This holds true in real life as well.” To succeed is to stay focused and be persistent with our efforts. Success will come right along. Then again, the fear of failure or the lack of confidence can hold us back from being persistent with our efforts, and will make us doubt ourselves. But, it’s our duty to give ourselves the pep-talk in hard times and keep walking ahead.
