Focus for this month: Retention (With a Bit of Workplace Culture Thrown In).

The HR World Highlight:

The theme at the HR World this month is retention, and we had the pleasure of talking to Stephanie Buck , Founder and Managing Director of sponsor Eclipze HR, and Laura Bunn , HR Director Roadchef, on the ways to hold on to the talent you need.

Our webinar on retention provided a masterclass on employee engagement. ?

Here are a few takeaways: ???

??In the post-pandemic era, workforce now presents more of a challenge in terms of feeling satisfied and content in the workplace.

??Hybrid work, the cost of living crisis and The Great Resignation have all presented employers with new challenges for attracting and keeping staff.

Topic of the week:

Following last week's poll, culture & engagement were voted the most important factor in employee retention ?

Workplace culture can be a make or break in terms of attracting talent to one's business. To retain your talent and attract future talent, it's crucial to get it right.

So this week, we thought we would ask you what exactly do you cherish in terms of culture & engagement in your organisation:

'Teamwork' was the big winner and that makes a lot of sense. ?? Collaborating can be challenging if your company fails to establish a positive workplace culture ??

It is in fact more crucial than ever in the new world of work, where hybrid working means that sometimes the only interaction you have with your co-workers is virtual. If you bring in factors such as the culture gap between intergenerational workers, some people being introverts or just not tech savvy; things can get tricky…

? To develop a strong sense of community in a business is power!
