The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, or FWC as they are commonly referred to, manage the great natural resources in the state of Florida. Do I need a license? Yes, with a few exceptions. Florida law requires that all persons engaged in saltwater or freshwater fishing must have a recreational license. Seniors over the age of 65 and children under the age of 16 are not required to have a license.
