FNB puts E58 000 back in Motorists’ pockets in Fuel Cash Back Rewards

116 FNB customers received a total of E58 000 after fueling up at the pumps in the bank’s Fuel Cash Back rewards promotion initiated in October. With the continued increases in fuel prices, visits to the fuel pumps have meant motorists are paying more for less and therefore need to dig deeper to fill up the tank.

?“It is for this reason that we, as a bank, decided there was no better time to introduce rewards that actually give FNB customers cash back to help ease the pressure they feel.?The ripple effect of the high cost of petrol is vast as it impacts not just mobility issues but also what our customers pay for basic utilities and groceries” said, Nosizwe Sigwane, Head of Product

“We recognise the financial pressure that many customers are under due to not just increases in fuel prices but also the rising cost of living and were therefore excited to introduce a rewards programme that puts actual cash back in the pockets of Emaswati, helping them stretch their cash where it matters most in these times.?

Our commitment remains anchored in finding ways to help Emaswati manage their money, making it go further.?We have demonstrated this intent not just through the current rewards programme but also through multiple interventions undertaken by the bank in the past year such as introduction of the zero monthly-fee account, SicaloZERO amongst others”. Sigwane concluded.

The E58 000 pay-out was made to FNB customers who swiped or tapped their cards to pay for fuel at any of the filling stations across the country using an FNB SpeedPoint?.?With over 2 394 FNB Speedpoints? found in shops across the country, and 120 being accessible to motorists at over 48 filling stations, the impact of the six-month promotion has and will continue to be visible.
