Xilinx Extends Lead Times for Some Products Xilinx suppliers are facing challenges in fulfilling late-term buy (LTB) orders, with some deliveries now delayed into next year. This delay raises concerns about product quality assurance, despite strict manufacturer and distributor review processes. Although overall demand has only slightly increased, supply constraints are driving up prices.


Samsung Plans to Raise DRAM Prices The focus in the DRAM market is shifting to high-bandwidth memory (HBM), with revenues expected to exceed $50 billion by 2025, accounting for 40% of the market. In response, Samsung is planning to increase DRAM prices by double digits in Q4, though customer opposition may limit the hike to 5-8%.


Nvidia Announces End-of-Life for Several GPUs Nvidia has issued end-of-life (EOL) notices for several GPUs, including the A6000, A5500, and A5000, with last purchase dates set for September 24 and final shipments by January 25, 2025. Other models, such as the A2000 and A4000, have last purchase dates extending into December, with final shipments expected in mid-2025.

Compared to 200mm wafers, the new technology can produce 2.3 times more chips per wafer, significantly improving efficiency.
