FLYADEAL TAKES DELIVERY OF FIRST NEW AIRCRAFT OF 2024

Latest Airbus A320neo Increases Fleet Size To 33 Narrowbody Jets?

Saudi Arabia’s Fast Growing Low-Cost Airline Continues Expansion To Support New Routes

Toulouse, FRANCE – flyadeal, one of the youngest and fastest growing low-cost airlines in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Middle East, has taken delivery of its? newest Airbus A320neo that marks a double milestone – its first of the year and first fully owned aircraft.

?

The arrival of Al Sama (To the Sky) – named after an Arabic constellation star – heralds the beginning of a delivery programme that will see an additional four aircraft inducted into the fleet during 2024 and a further eight A320neos next year.

?

The latest acquisition takes flyadeal’s fleet to 33 Airbus A320 family aircraft comprising 22 A320neo and 11 A320neo variants.

?

The new aircraft will be immediately deployed on the airline’s rapidly-growing domestic and international route network which currently covers almost 30 destinations across Saudi Arabia, Middle East, Europe and North Africa.

?

flyadeal Chief Executive Officer Steven Greenway was joined by colleagues Ahmed Bakadam, Director of Maintenance and Engineering, and Ali Alzahrani, Senior Manager Technical Fleet, for the official aircraft handover in Toulouse, home of Airbus’ main assembly plant.

?

Speaking at the delivery ceremony, Steven Greenway said: “The addition of aircraft number 33 represents a symbolic double milestone for flyadeal bringing in our first fully owned aircraft and inducting the first new aircraft into the fleet this year. Until now all flyadeal aircraft are leased. To have our first fully owned aircraft demonstrates the strength of our business and market confidence in our long-term growth strategy.

?

“With a plan targeting around 50 aircraft by the end of 2025 that will double to 100 by 2030, we are on course for a dynamic delivery schedule over the next few years. An incredible growth path that is being accelerated by the shear demand for inbound and outbound travel catering to a diverse profile of travellers.

?

“The A320 family of aircraft has performed exceptionally well for us since we launched operations in 2017, and we are delighted to be working closely with our partner Airbus to continue providing our passengers with the high level of comfort and convenience flying on one of the world’s most environmentally friendly narrowbody aircraft.”

?

As part of future fleet requirements, flyadeal placed its largest ever order last month for a further 51 Airbus A320 family aircraft comprising 12 A320neos and 39 larger A321neos.

?

Sporting a spacious cabin of 186 seats in a 3 – 3 configuration that features seating of the highest standards and specifications for a low-cost airline and larger than normal overhead bins, the A320neo is the backbone of flyadeal’s fleet which is among the youngest in the industry averaging just over two years old.

Do not book with this company. They change your flight schedules without your consent. I have 3 planes to take on July 23 and the first one has been modified and unfortunately I will not be able to board the other 2 that follow because they will have already left. ESPECIALLY DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY. TO FLEE !
