Fly Me to the Moon

Fly Me to the Moon

The energy in the world lately is heavy and ominous, the shift is about to hit the fan. The moon's total eclipse on March 14th, 2025, forebodes the paradigm shift. Many songs and poems of the moon have been written and sung. It's a blue moon when we're melancholy while a bad moon is bloody hell. This month's full moon has been named the Blood Moon…

Dean Martin sang, "If the Moon was a big pizza pie that's amore"... Too much cheese, not enough pepperoni.

John Fogerty wrote, there's a Bad Moon Rising, so don't go out tonight, but I forgot, and since it's Pie Day 3.14, I went outside at 2:30 am to view the moon, I wasn't hungry for pie. I was hungry for knowledge.

Why is the Moon's Surface Red during a Lunar Eclipse??

Remember when the cow jumped over the moon? "Hey diddle diddle, The cat and the fiddle, The cow jumped over the moon. The little dog laughed, To see such fun, And the dish ran away with the spoon."

A long long time ago, we believed that the sun and the moon orbited around the Earth each day. We still say the sun moves across the sky daily. In other words, humans ignore science. We make up stories based on what we see. We think seeing is believing.?

Far too many think the world is flat, and billions of people think a man called Jesus of Nazareth is the only son of God. What's the evidence for this strange belief? It's funny we don't want proof when we are ignorant about science. It's easier to believe the Bible stories than to think for ourselves.?

Sorry, I lost my train of thought.?

Back to the basics, why is the moon's surface red? The problem is that we make up stories from what we see, and if our stories are similar, they become our truth. We need better skills of critical thinking.?

What kind of energy would change the yellowish moonscape to a reddish color? I remember the famous words of Nikola Tesla, “think energy, vibration, and frequency…”

But we can't see energy, oh crap, let's go back to seeing. It's easier to focus on the world of color. NASA says the wavelengths of light explain the Blood Moon. Shorter wavelengths of the color spectrum, like blue, scatter easily when they hit the atmosphere. That's why the vast sky can look blue in the middle of the day, when sunlight shines straight down from overhead. Longer wavelengths materialize on Earth when sunlight hits from more of a perpendicular angle, so its route through our atmosphere can be more extensive. The atmosphere essentially filters short wavelengths over such a protracted distance, and only the longer reds, oranges, and yellows remain. The full moon will take on several shades of red, orange, and yellow when it's nearer the outer edges of Earth's shadow — when the moon first intersects with the path of Earth's shadow, and as it's on its way out. But shades of deep red will become more pronounced as the moon enters the darkest part of Earth's shadow or umbra.?

Maybe we could call NASA’s theory the "umbrella effect" because the information is hidden in the shadows. Wait a second, when we can't see in the dark, we make up better stories. But when we see the diagrams and charts scientists create, they seem so real that they must be the truth.

When we were very young and curious, we would ask “why”. Why does this happen? Why? Now, I ask why are we here? What's It all about? Scientists decided they don't answer "why" questions. They delve into facts and answer how things work.?

Religion works the same way since the church uses a book of stories and changes them into how things work. However, they can't answer our “why” questions either because they don't know. They don't know what they don't know.?

Wouldn't it be fantastic to know what we don't know? How would we know? If this is all there is, let's keep dancing and have a ball. Wait, are you hungry for a pizza??

I lost my train of thought again—distractions of music, hunger, and my insatiable thoughts. I can't focus on one thing long enough to discover what I don't know.

Imagine seeing a total solar eclipse… the daylight turns into the night and you can see the stars in the sky. If you were on the moon looking at the Earth during a solar eclipse, you would see the tiny shadow of the moon moving across the landscape.?

However, if you were on the moon during a total lunar eclipse you would see the blue Earth disappear into darkness surrounded by the stars. Fly me to the moon. Let's play among the stars, see the big Blue Marble, and dance among the stars.?

When we focus on the bigger picture, we can see with our mind's eye. Okay, let's go back and answer why the bloody moon looks satanic, or should we just swallow that piece of pie from NASA? They should know because they Put a Man on the Moon.?

You know what? I'm still curious to find a better answer to explain the physics of color.? Why would anyone do this research since the answers have already been published in Wikipedia??

It's about the quest for the truth and the thirst for knowledge. Enjoy the good times before the shift hits the fan. Meanwhile, I'm writing another book for my website, https://lovinthings.com/.

The newsletter this week isn't about consciousness, time, or gravity; it's about the things we love, such as listening to music, dancing in the dark, and eating pizza. Stay curious and keep looking to the stars. See you later alligator, after a while crocodile. Cheers.
