FLUIX: Frequently asked questions
As the FLUIX community grows and we reach wider audiences, we are sure to have more questions about our products and how we as a company functions. So we thought it would be a great idea to post this blog highlighting some of the frequently asked questions we received. Enjoy! Also, please reach us at?[email protected]?if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Questions about FLUIX and our technology:
1. Why dual inlets and a single out? What's the point?
Dominating performance! TRI-SWIFT's patent-pending Multi-Inlets induce greater fluid turbulence (chaotic fluid mixing) at the micro-channels of our copper cold plates to maximize the coefficient of heat transfer. It's not just adding another inlet port, our proprietary wavy jet plate and mixing chamber combines to form a lethal cooling engine. Benchmarks showing 8-15C lower CPU temperatures at the same flow rate (energy) from a water pump against other liquid cooling solutions.
2. Why has no one figured this out?
Turbulence (the method of cooling we specialize in) is looked down upon by in the cooling industry because it is perceived as an inefficient manifestation of chaos. The industry shied away from turbulence because chaotic fluid flow was deemed inefficient and hard to control. At FLUIX we flipped the script on chaos, harnessing the power of fluid turbulence where it matters most. At the micro channels of the copper cold plate, inside our proprietary mixing chamber we harness the turbulent fluid behavior to increase the thermal transfer rate by 25%. We validated our technology using thousands of hours of computational fluid dynamics simulations and experiments. Now our technology is being used by the top high performance workstation and server manufacturers in industry verticals such as Architecture, Forensic Computing, Engineering Design, and Gaming.
3. What is Turbulent Flow?
Turbulent flow is the manifestation of chaos when it comes to fluid flow behavior. Fluid flow can be characterized as Turbulent if there are signs of varying pressure and fluid velocity. An excellent example of Turbulent Flow is the mass exhaust from a rocket engine or the wake in the water from a speed boat passing by.
Turbulent flow, when used properly, is advantageous when it comes to heat transfer as it encourages mixing (fluid particles hitting cold plate fins and exchanging heat rapidly) and transferring heat from CPU to cold plate and finally to the fluid efficiency.
4. What is the story behind FLUIX?
Founded in 2017 by a team of aerospace/thermal engineers and PC & tech enthusiasts dedicated to high quality, performance, and chaos. We are Masters of Chaos, leveraging the chaos of fluid turbulence uniquely, we differentiate ourselves from other boring water cooling manufacturers by being chaotic in our mission to cool the world's most powerful computers. From the core of our technology to our dedicated team, we are Turbulent. “BE TURBULENT”.?
Product and fulfillment questions:
5. I ordered my product a while ago and it has not shipped yet, what's the hold up?
We understand and are working diligently to get orders out as soon as possible. If your order has not shipped within 3 weeks of being placed, please reach out to us at?[email protected]?and include your order # in the subject line. Due to global supply chain issues, we might be experience longer than normal fulfillment times. Our team will be happy to assist in getting your order out quickly.?
6. How to install tubing and fittings with the dual inlets?
领英推荐
Every TRI-SWIFT Water Block comes with a brass Y-splitter fitting that can be used to aid in the installation of fittings and tubing to the dual inlets of the block. Although the Y-splitter is not mandatory, it is recommended for the most optimal operation of the block. For the best performance, it is recommended that the outlet tube from the pump goes directly to the Y-splitter fitting then directly into the dual inlets of the TRI-SWIFT block. This ensures that the block received the fastest flow rate for better thermal performance. For more information about "What type of fittings and tubing can I use with the TRI-SWIFT blocks?" Check below.
7. What type of fittings and tubing can I use with the TRI-SWIFT blocks?
The TRI-SWIFT Water Block and included brass Y-splitter fitting uses standard G1/4 water cooling ports and thread. Therefore, standard water cooling soft and hard tube fittings will work with our blocks. The tubing ultimately depends on the fittings you are using. Please match the size of the fitting with the right size of tubing. For example, use 10mm ID X 16mm OD fittings only with the same dimensions tubing.?
